The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Nyundo has appointed Father Léonidas Habarugira Karekezi as his new Vicar Common, filling the place that had develop into vacant following the dying of Monsignor Jean Marie Vianney Nsengumuremyi.

Nsengumuremyi had served as Episcopal Vicar since 2001 and continued within the place after Bishop Mwumvaneza took over management of the diocese in 2016.
