9 individuals, together with the motive force of a minibus, have been killed and 13 others injured after the car collided with a truck in Musambira Sector, Kamonyi District, on Sunday, July 19.
The accident occurred at round 11am whereas the minibus was travelling from Kigali to Muhanga.

In keeping with Rwanda Nationwide Police (RNP), preliminary investigations point out that the minibus driver tried to overhaul one other car with out making certain the highway forward was clear, resulting in a collision with an oncoming truck.
A complete of twenty-two individuals have been on board the minibus. 13 survivors sustained accidents and have been taken to Kabgayi Hospital and Remera Rukoma Hospital for therapy.

Talking to The New Instances, RNP spokesperson ACP Boniface Rutikanga expressed condolences to the households of those that misplaced their family members.
“We lengthen our honest condolences to the households of the deceased and need a speedy restoration to these injured,” he stated.
Rutikanga urged motorists to make accountable choices whereas driving.
“Drivers should be very cautious about each resolution they make on the highway. A single poor resolution can imply the distinction between saving lives and dropping them,” he stated.
