The Rwanda Handball Federation (FERWAHAND) on Friday, June 5, opened the Genocide Memorial Handball Match 2026, a three-day competitors working via Sunday 7.
The competitors will unfold at numerous venues in Kigali together with Petit Stade Gymnasium, UR Remera, and Kimisagara Youth Centre, with eight males’s and 6 ladies’s golf equipment competing.
Within the males’s class, Group A contains Police HC, UR Huye, Ndejje College, the only Ugandan consultant, and SOF. Group B options APR HC, UR Rukara, PEVIC, and Blue Tigers.

The ladies’s competitors options two teams of three. Group A brings collectively UR Huye, UR Rukara, and Kiziguro SS, whereas Group B options Three Stars, Ndejje College, and ESC Nyamagabe.

Friday males’s programme opened at 10:00 with UR Rukara HC taking up PEVIC HC, adopted by seven additional matches throughout Petit Stade and Kimisagara. The night’s headline fixture sees Police HC face UR Huye HC at 20:30 at Kimisagara.
Saturday carries the remaining 4 males’s group matches alongside all six ladies’s group-stage fixtures, which run from 09:00 to 16:30 at Petit Stade

Sunday’s knockout programme options males’s and girls’s semi-finals within the morning, with each finals and third-place play-offs scheduled at UR Remera within the afternoon, the boys’s last at 17:00, the ladies’s at 15:00.
The Genocide Memorial Handball Match commenced in 2014 with the help of the Ministry of Sports activities, and its eleventh version varieties a part of Rwanda’s thirty second commemoration of the 1994 Genocide Towards the Tutsi.
