Rwanda Institute of Computing (RIC), a brand new specialised establishment devoted to superior coaching in Synthetic Intelligence and cybersecurity, is anticipated to launch in September beneath the College of Rwanda.

A Cupboard assembly on Friday, July 24, accredited the institution of the institute which goals to strengthen the nation's pipeline of high-skilled expertise expertise.

In line with a press release launched by the Workplace of the Prime Minister, RIC will “develop Rwanda's subsequent technology of expertise leaders.”
Constructing on the success of Rwanda Coding Academy, the institute will present a seamless pathway to superior computing training and additional strengthen Rwanda's expertise pipeline for the digital financial system.
The institution of RIC was offered to the Cupboard alongside different digital transformation initiatives geared toward advancing Rwanda’s transition to a knowledge-based, cashless, and digitally pushed financial system.
These initiatives embody modernizing telecommunications infrastructure by upgrading from 2G/3G to 4G/5G networks and rolling out eKash, an interoperable nationwide digital cost platform designed to speed up monetary inclusion and digital transactions.
