The Rwanda Defence Drive (RDF) Military Chief of Workers, Maj Gen Vincent Nyakarundi, held a bilateral assembly along with his French counterpart, Gen Pierre Schill, Chief of Workers of the French Military, on Wednesday, June 17, the place they mentioned cooperation between the 2 armies.
They met on the sidelines of Eurosatory 2026, the worldwide land, air defence and safety exhibition in Paris.

“The bilateral discussions targeted on deepening army cooperation and reinforcing the strategic partnership between the armies of each nations,” the RDF stated.

Rwanda and France have in recent times sought to deepen their army cooperation. Army officers have meet on varied events and held discussions.

In Could, Commander of the French Africa Command, Maj Gen Pascal Ianni visited Rwanda and held conferences with the Minister of Defence, Juvenal Marizamunda, and the Chief of Defence Workers of the Rwanda Defence Drive (RDF), Gen Mubarakh Muganga.
They mentioned bilateral cooperation, notably in areas associated to defence collaboration, coaching, and regional safety engagement.
